Privacy policy
No tracking
The site has no advertising and no third-party trackers. It counts page views and measures load times with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which set no cookies and keep no personal data. The site sets one cookie, and only once you sign in with your email: dla_user, which keeps that account signed in for ninety days. Signing out removes it.
Accounts and payments
An account is your email address. Signing in sends a one-time link to it, through the mail provider Resend, and the site keeps the address, when you signed in, your remaining credits and which match reports you opened. Payments go through Stripe: Stripe handles the card and sends the site only the purchase amount, the number of credits and the email you paid with. No card details ever reach this site. Stripe keeps its own records under its own privacy policy. To delete an account and its records, email the address below.
Where the game data comes from
Match, hero, item and player statistics come from the public Deadlock API at deadlock-api.com, which publishes data Valve makes available for matches that players have not set to private. Player names and avatars come from public Steam profiles. The site also keeps a log of the Steam names it has seen each player use, with the dates it saw them, and shows it on that player’s page.
What the site stores
Copies of API responses are kept on the server for up to seven days to make pages fast. Summaries of a looked-up player’s recent matches are kept until newer lookups replace them, and saved Steam names are kept until removed on request. The site owner keeps a shared list of up to twenty five players on the Players page, with summaries of their recent matches, until they are removed. Replays the owner uploads are deleted once read. The timeline built from each is kept.
Server logs
The hosting providers, Vercel for the site and Railway for the data server, keep standard request logs that include your IP address for a short time. The site also counts requests per address for a rolling hour to limit abuse. Those counts live in memory only.
Removing your data
If you are a Deadlock player and want your account taken off the added players list, or its summaries or name log deleted, email the site owner at meowoomfie@gmail.com and it will be done within a few days. Cached copies of public match data expire on their own within seven days. To stop future matches appearing anywhere, set your match data to private in Deadlock itself.
